To all the women, you are not an afterthought. You are a masterpiece. You are God’s final touch. You are the completion of the creation.
Let us start with Mary:
The virgin Mary, though, whose parenthood was unplanned , had a different response. She heard the angel out, pondered the repercussions, and replied, “I am the Lord’s servant. May it be to me as you have said.” Often a work of God comes with two edges, great joy and great pain, and in that matter-of-fact response Mary embraced both. She was the first person to accept Jesus on his own terms, regardless of the personal cost. – The Jesus I never Knew
Esther was chosen by God to save her own people and agreed to go in front of the king anyway and won his favor and her people were saved. She didn’t let her fear or position stand in her way.
Zelophahad’s daughter, who came forward to claim the land that is righteously for them. They fought for their rights, not through violence but by having full awareness of God’s laws and security of who God is.
There are a lot more. Their story is your story too as a woman. They exceeded expectations. They persevered. Like the Samaritan woman, they influenced other people. Some of them changed the course of history like Rahab – a prostitute.
Remember the inspiring women who helped travail the greatest victory in mankind.
